Here comes another little victory for Cupertino. After beating Microsoft in market capitalization, Apple now displaces Acer to take the 3rd spot in the US PC market share. Apple has grabbed a full 10.5% share in Q3 of 2010 (compared to 9.0% in Q3 2009). But here is the interesting part. Apple’s growth out numbers the combined growth of both Toshiba and HP (see the graph below). And at the same time Dell and Acer have lost ground instead of growing.
These figures are not counting the millions of iPad that Apple has sold, but ofcourse the iPad has played its part in disturbing the sales of PCs worldwide. In the global market, the company making the biggest impact however is Lenovo!
